December 28, 2017
I hope you have all had a gracious time during this Christmas season. In the ancient Christian tradition we celebrate the 12 days of Christmas from December 25 to 12th Night on January 5th. Then we celebrate Epiphany on January 6th with the story of the Magi arriving at the nativity. This Sunday in worship we will sing a variety of carols of Christmas accompanied by the Pilgrim Brass.
Wishing for you a New Year in 2018 of faith, love and forgiveness,
David Loar, Pastor

There will be Sunday School and nursery this Sunday, if needed.
A big "thank you" to all the children (and adults) who gave me the wonderful Christmas card and gift card to Half Price Books. A special thanks to Heather Penrod who orchestrated my gift. It was a big surprise and is greatly appreciated.
Blessings, Vickie Craig
The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 following the 10:00 am worship service.
The Pilgrim Christian Church Wednesday evening Book Club will begin 2018 with a new book study. The first book of the year will be “Lies We Believe about God” by Wm. Paul Young. We meet twice a month to discuss what we have read and share our beliefs and ideas. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us. This month we will meet on Jan 17th and Jan 31th at 6:30pm in the Parlor at the church. To get there just walk up the ramp in the alley between the fire station and the church, the door will be open!
For the first class, we will read the first 7 chapters, which is only about 50 pages in the print version. If we do not get through them all we will continue during our second meeting in January!
